Lent

It's the time of Lent, it's leading up to Easter, with easter bunnies! nah I'm just jokin. We don't have Bunnies here. Don't like them much to be honest. Easter is the resurection of Jesus Christ, which means, that he had died, and on Easter, he'll rise from the dead.

I find, that it's so interesting that trees 'breath out' oxygen, and 'breath in' carbon dioxide, while we breath out carbon dioxide, and take in oxygen.

Mother Mary was the first Giftbearer.

Sweeney Todd

I love Sweeney Todd. It gave me the creeps and shivers, but damm, it's a good story. Lame story line though, on it's own, it's just another story, it's the singing that does it. If you haven't seen the concert version, which is what I'm talking about, Here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HR1z0yW_ELc&feature=PlayList&p=893ACC2DB64F4FCD&index=0&playnext=1

As for the movie version, buy it! I can't find it on youtube. Haha!

Stuff

I like Enya. Lord Of The Rings is my favourite book, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. I find he writes better than Harry Potter, J K Rolling, coz I find, though her storyline is good, she repeats the words a lot, especially the last book, because her editor or someone gave her a deadline, which is the stupidest thing to give to a writer. Whoever gave it was an idiot and didn't know what he/she was doing. Look how badly the last book turned out? Words wise I mean. Storyline, as I said, is good.

Lord Of The Rings is long winded, I agree, but I like it much better than Harry Potter. The way he, John Tolkein, writes, he tells his story with what he believes, if he believes Fatty Bolger is supposed to be brave, and stay behind, he writes it down; if he wants a character like Quickbeam, then he'll put it in. He changes scenes, as in, from one group to another, like from Frodo and Sam, to Aragon and the others; at the right time, it made me think that I wanted to continue that part before I moved on.

So lets say, I'm reading about Frodo and Sam, then John Tolkein goes to Aragon and the others, and I want to just flip foward to Frodo and Sam again, but I don't because then it'lls poile it you know?

Many books, Harry Potter series included, change scenes too quickly, so even though the writers want that kind of tense feeling from the readers, they don't achive it, because they just change it too fast.

John Tolkein, though it is considered lame nowadays, was a big achivement last time because anyone with a good imagination wasn't allowed or wasn't given the chance or was thought mad when he/she voiced it. Or something like that. And Tolkein invented a new world. Not many writers do that, there is always a sense of reality in the story.

Peter Jackson, the director of the movie Lord Of The Rings, took a lot of things out from the book. Directors always do that. Chronicles of Narnia too. The second part was terrible! A lot was changed! There was no kiss!!!

Bad things about the Lord Of The Rings, I would say, the first chapter is a real drag. But once you get past it, things speed up a little, and once they leave Rivendell, things get going. But you need to get pas those chapters before you can actually enjoy the book. It's very lame, Frodo always gets out just in time, with the help of someone or something.

Thats all that I can say. This is By Enya, the song, Only Time.

So Many Things

So many things.

I've finished my O's. Am going to school. GOT ACCEPTED!!! My school starts later than others, it'll probably end later too. Which means I probably won't be able to help prepare the House and Tree for Christmas. I am very happy I got in!! Haha!

Who reads my blog? (Besides my mum!)

I took a long time to take the tree down. I think it's coz Chinese New Year came very fast, coz usually it's in the month of February, and it came in January, so it was very fast, we didn't have time to relax and take everything down at our own time. Had a hard time taking it down by myself. I put up the lights, my sis put up the top part coz I was tired, and I took everything down. Then my brother cut it up. There was the pine smell around again. This tree was very hard to let go. Not too sure why.

I've been baking a little. I got a course in pastry and baking, I think that's why my mum's been baking a lot more with me. Wish she'd started sooner though (NOT COMPLAINING).

We baked Banana cake today. At one point I have to beat egg whites, and since we don't have an electric beater, and because I like to beat it using my hands, the hand that I was using, right hand, became red, and bigger.

Picture or it, can't really see, and I have rested a bit before this picture was taken.

It was a lot redder and bigger when I had first stopped. I'm so happy with this image. Haha!

To go into my school I had to go for an interview, and if i pass it, I have to go for and medical check up. I went for the interview, and the interviewer asked if I could follow rules. Before I went it, I had called my mum, and asked her what kind of questions they will ask. She said "Don't worry, just be yourself." So I answered without thinking, "As long as your rules are competent." Told my mum and dad, they told my brother and sister; their reactions were about the same, "Good answer." I didn't know it was a good answer when I said it!

This is how I dressed for the interview (without the bag). My mum says I look like a lesbian. I agree with her, but I like looking this way, and as long as those who care about me know I'm NOT a lesbian, I'm ok.

Then the interviewers said to check on the website if or not I'm accepted two days later. My mum checked one day after, I got in!!!!!!!! WOOOOO!!!!

I didn't believe it. I thought tht there might be a mistake, coz it wasn't two days after, it was in the afternoon; 12 hours after the interview. So my mum said, "It's like Jesus, some people know he's coming sooner, some people know he's coming later. It's all a matter of time so don't worry." :D

This is me.

Freedom Of Choice Act

FOCA is trying to allow abortion. If this happens, if the law passes, there will be no more restrictions for abortion. You do not have to have parents permission, all hospitals, including Cathoilc Hospitals, will give abortions on request. The Pope has declared that if this is so, every Catholic Hosptial will be closed down, that's 30 percent in USA alone.

I know it's way past January 11, but an email has been sent out to many people, Catholics please pray and fast for nine days starting from 11th January, and keep praying. For non-believers, pray, or do something or another, post it up on your blogs, frendster, bebo, anything to make people hear, if you wish too. If you don't have these kind of things, then just pass the word around.

I'm sure God will not be angry or say it's too late to do any praying or fasting for nine days.

If This FOCA law is passed off, soon, You can do anything, kil or you want, have sex on the streets, take drugs, burn places, burn people, beacuse it is your freedom of choice.

If I were rich

If I were rich, and I had a lot of money, I'd give it all to my mum to spend. Coz she'd know what to do with it. If I gave it to my dad, he'd know he'd need to do things, but he'd keep an eye on the things he doesn't need. My mum would make sure she'd get the things she needed, then she'd go wild.

If I were rich, I'd make my mum get a bloody good dress. She wears dresses almost all the time. And when she needs to dress up to go for some kind of conference or whatnot she'd know how to dress. But I'd want something Tailor-made for her.

If I were rich, I'd get my dad all that he needed to make the project he's been on for a long while. He talks about this project all the time, and explains what goes where how this should be placed, what he'd do with it, who he'd go around in it with. And I'd get him a trunk too. Those olden day trunks, the big ones, exactly like the one used in the movie Keeping Mum, Rosie's trunk.

Once they're happy, I'd get a really huge doll house for my younger sister and I'll play with it with her, my mum, and my older sister (coz though many won't admit it, we actually like to play with these kind of things!).

AND!!! I'll go for lessons that are not placed weekly but impromptu lessons at my home with my mum, and when I'm as good as her I'd start up a bakery, called 'Food', next to my sister's bookshop, which is next to my other sister's flower shop, which is next to my younger brother's archaeologist, astronaut shop, so he'll go find things, bring it back, and let ppl see it, and on his free time he'd be a cabby driver. Haha!
Imagine that? A whole row of shops bearing our sir name. :D

Once we're all happy and really really earning money, I'd start some kind of thing where We'd go help ppl who are dying, and I'd go around trying to do a practically hopeless thing, which is to tell the other rich ppl that they have loads of money and if they can just imagine their own family in the same position and how they'd feel if they see all kinds of rich ppl with loads of money and nor doing anything. Impossible and stupid. Make the family happy, then give it all to the others. I'd be willing to give all the money for food and stuff for those ppl, but I have to make my family happy first.

If I were rich.

Christmas is Over

:D Things happened, praise God for that. Something really really good happened, and I'm really happy about that (can't say it though, it involves others).

It's the new year again, and I'm older. Oh man now I understand why ppl say time passes so fast. Had a fun time yesterday, some friend came over and we went to the park and played freeze and melt and we played this impropto thing where we all stand on the seesaw and just move around. Haha!!

Christmas eve was really good. But Christmas Day was even better. Something good happened. Praise God. (: AND!!! That something's going to happen again!! WOOO!!!!

Next year am hoping to go to ITE or a school for baking. ITE almost everyone will look down on me, but my mum told me it's the best place to learn baking, or I could go for a baking school but that would cost more than ITE.

Christmas Tree

Today the Tree came. Still wondering bout the name. It was supposed to come from 9 to 12, but it came at 135. Nothing wrong with coming late. Except that this is a tree, and the truck that it was carried in was not air-conditioned, and the cut that you have to make in order for the tree to take in water had been made long before it was delivered.

This means, the tree spent at least 4 hours in the truck in the sun, meaning heat, meaning water going out, meaning the tree goes brown. The cut has got no use at all because you're supposed to put it into water in an hour after the cut, so we've lost some height of the tree, and the tree isn't taking in any water right now because there wasn't any time today to make a cut ourselves, so the tree loses water and there's a higher chance of the tree dying before Christmas.

BUT! It's a good tree, I went out and came back and I COULD SMELL THE PINE. Oh man I just love the smell of pine. It's still tied up though. It can be let down once we make another cut. Height isn't really important. But you know, if you can have a tree, it's one of the times you can't really screw up with it, so you want the height to be the same, you want it to have a good shape, not to bushy, NOT bare, all just a matter of taste. But I like the tree, it's finally here! and Chirstmas is on it's way.

2008 will become 2009 soon, another year will pass, and life goes on.

BLEH!! That's so soap-opera!! But life goes on! The tree will look good. Why? Because it's in my home that's why. It'll be our tree for the time being, and it'll be where we hide loads of stuff in it, and we'll have loads of fights about whose turn it is to put up the lights and deco. It's our tree and it's the best tree. HA!
