I knew a man who didn't want to go to the hospital because it was too expensive.
He died.
I remember wanting to walk right up to to prime minster to smack his face (I was very young at the time). Hospitals are supposed to be helping us, not dropping a bombshell of bills. All this kind of things at the hospital, or at doctors, you go for a checkup, they rob you of 50 bucks. FOR WHAT?? 'Oh, actually, it's important that you go for checkups, because if anything is happening to you, We'll be able to help you.' Then why charge us so much? If it's to help ourselves?
I understand that it's really hard to become a doctor, you got to study and all that, and its draining emotionally, and physically, but why charge us so much? What's the point? What, there's the doc's salary? Simple; give them a house, not a big one of corse, give them enough supplies, and there we go.
And then I heard bout that thing where the hospital told a MOTHER that her CHILD is brain dead, but people say that he could squeeze hands and all that. But the hospital told her she only has 24 hours before they'll pull the plug... I don't know the full story, but that's just shit. If it's true... after I heard bout the story, I didn't trust the hospitals. Perhaps that was what the man I knew thought of before he died.
